I'm eligible for both exams. Which one should I prioritize based on career growth and job security?

If we talk about career growth and long-term opportunities, SSC CGL is generally better. In SSC CGL, you can get posts like Income Tax Inspector, Assistant Section Officer, Auditor, etc. These jobs are mostly desk jobs in ministries and departments. The growth is decent, promotions happen, and the work environment is usually stable. Also, postings are mostly in cities, which is a big advantage.

On the other hand, RRB NTPC (Railway) jobs are more about stability and field-level work. Posts like Station Master or Clerk come under this. The job is secure, but growth is slower compared to SSC CGL. In some posts, you may have shift duties, transfers, and a more hectic schedule.

If your priority is better career growth, office job, and long-term benefits, go for SSC CGL. If you want job security, less competition pressure, and are okay with field work or shifts, then RRB NTPC is also a good option.

Real advice: since you are eligible for both, don’t choose just one in the beginning. Prepare for both because the syllabus is very similar. Later, based on your interest and results, you can decide which one to focus on more seriously.
