How many attempts are allowed in SSC CGL?

There is no fixed limit on the number of attempts for the SSC CGL exam. Candidates may appear as many times as they wish, provided they meet the eligibility criteria specified by the Commission. The key determining factor is the age limit, not a set attempt count. For General (UR) category candidates, attempts range from 9 to 14; OBC candidates get 12 to 17 attempts; and SC/ST candidates can attempt 14 to 19 times, depending on the post applied for. A bachelor's degree from a recognized university is also mandatory for each attempt.
